Who can use these Terms & Conditions of Sale of Goods Online?
Anyone who has a website selling goods, in particular to consumers can use this Ecommerce Terms and Conditions template.
What are these Terms & Conditions for?
They are designed to give customers the right information about the transaction they are making. And this includes the legal requirements for web site owners when selling from a website.
What are the main issues?
Firstly, you should write the terms & conditions in clear English that is easy to understand. Then make sure they are easily accessible on your website. Before making a sale, the customer must confirm they have read the terms and conditions and accepted them. This is usually done with a “tick box” on the website.
You must say whether the price includes taxes and delivery charges.
And you should spell out the delivery arrangements.
The consumer has a legal right to cancel the contract within 14 days and return the goods. So, this needs to be explained in your terms and conditions.
What detailed terms do the Terms & Conditions contain?
