Mediation
This is where the parties try to solve the dispute by agreement with the help of a mediator
Adjudication
Here an adjudicator will make a decision within a short time-frame. This is used a lot in construction disputes.
Arbitration
This is more formal but is a private process and the arbitration award decision is normally enforceable in the courts.
