Longer Holidays on the Way
23 February 2007
The UK government is considering changes to statutory holidays. The proposal is to increase the statutory entitlement to 28 days. Great news for employees although this could become an issue for some employers. The proposals include the possibilty that payment in lieu of holiday will not be permitted except when a contract comes to an end. By agreement, some of the holiday may be carried over to the following year.
