Explanatory Notes

Cash Flow Forecast

A Cash Flow Forecast will help you to manage your business finances effectively and set up business targets for your future growth. It provides a ready-to-use Excel spreadsheet that will ensure it is a quick and easy process to create a Cash Flow Forecast for your business.

Using last year's figures as a base (or you projected figures) your Cash Flow Forecast will tell you: your sales figure (a), your figures for business costs (b), your figures for business expenses (c). And your business net budget profit: (a) - (b) - (c) = Net Budget Profit.

Once you have got your business annual figures, you should then break them down so that you know what cumulative results are expected to be at the end of each business month or business quarter.
